2 suspended including director in AYUSH scam, CBI will investigate latest news update 2022
Latest Updated On 08/11/2022: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has handed over the investigation of the recruitment scam in the AYUSH department to the CBI, adopting the policy of zero tolerance against corruption.
Earlier, after returning from the election tour of Himachal Pradesh, he reviewed the entire matter and directed the Home Department to take action in this regard. Simultaneously, the Chief Minister suspended the Director of Directorate of AYUSH Education Dr. SN Singh, Officer-in-Charge of Directorate of AYUSH Dr. Umakant Yadav. Along with this, two other doctors, Unani Director Dr. Mohammad Wasim and Joint Director of Homoeopathic Directorate Prof. Ordered a departmental inquiry against Vijay Pushkar.
Following the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Home Department has sent a recommendation to the Central Government to conduct a CBI inquiry. In the name of admission in BAMS, BUMS in Ayurveda and Unani colleges of the state, a case of huge fraud has come to the fore. The matter came to light after a complaint was sent by some students to the Central AYUSH Council. The students had earlier also complained at the Directorate level, but no cognizance was taken of them.
In the investigation conducted on the instructions of the Central Ayush Council, so far 891 cases have come to the fore regarding fake admission in this case. Most of the cases are from Ayurveda and then Unani colleges. However, questions are also being raised regarding the admission process of BHMS. Six students of Government Ayurveda College, Tudiyaganj, Lucknow, have been suspended after finding disturbances in the initial investigation. Let us tell you that a large number of such students were admitted who did not even appear in the NEET exam. Apart from this, there are also cases of admitting students with low merit. In this case, on Saturday, on behalf of the Director of Ayurveda, a case of fraud was filed against Kuldeep Singh, the operator of B-3 Soft Solution, the nodal agency for counseling at Hazratganj Kotwali, Uptron and unknown. At present, the matter was being investigated by the STF.
