SNMMCH PG Block Covaxin: Para Medical Student forced to live in rented house while living in hostel latest news update 2022
Latest Updated 21/11/2022: In the PG block campus of SNMMCH, a hostel for Para Medical students has been completed at a cost of about Rs 32 crore. The students are not getting its benefit because of the throwing of the officers. They are forced to live in the rented houses. Due to this they are also facing trouble and their money is also being spent. It is very difficult for the students of weak economic condition to spend this extra.
Let us inform that every year para medical students are enrolled in SNMMCH on 60 seats. In this study of two years, 100 to 120 students live here together. They do not get hostel facility. Students have to live in rented houses outside the campus. For these students, separate hostels for boys and girls including the Government Paramedical Institute have been constructed in the PG campus. Both the hostels are of 80-80 beds. The construction work is almost complete. The medical college management is not taking the handover of the building citing these deficiencies, while the executive agency is not taking initiative to remove the deficiencies. This case of the building is stuck in the electrical connection. According to the officials, the construction agency has not yet made the electricity connection in the building. There is also a transformer for electricity. Despite this, there is a reluctance to make the connection. That is why the handover of the building is not being taken. The agency is pressurizing them to handover the building without electricity connection.
Construction for five years
The Government Paramedical Institute and the adjacent hostel are being constructed for the last five years. The construction work began in the year 2018. The construction work was to be completed in the year 2020. Due to Corona, the matter remained stuck for a long time. Corona has ended, but the building could not be handed over yet. The candidates are suffering because of this.
The transformer is kept there. Despite this, there is no electricity connection in the building yet. The agency is pressing for the handover of the building without electricity connection. The authorities have been informed of the condition.
