Latest Updated On 31/10/2022: The govt can recruit teachers before the Lok Sabha elections. The government has called for the information of the vacant posts. Yogi govt has recruited more than 1.20 lakh assistant teachers in the schools of Basic Education Council in its last tenure. At the same time, more than 44000 teachers have been posted in secondary education schools. According to departmental sources, at present, 51000 teachers' posts are vacant in the Basic Education Department & 7471 teachers' posts are vacant in government schools. Simultaneously, 2215 posts of Lecturer & 5256 posts are vacant in Assistant Teacher LT cadre. There is a preparation to make recruitment on the same vacancies.
In the year 2017, CM Yogi Adityanath had ordered the recruitment of vacant posts of teachers. So far, more than 1 lakh 64 thousand teachers have been posted in the state (Uttar Pradesh). In the last 5 years alone, more than 44000 teachers have been recruited in secondary schools alone, whereas between 2003 & 2017 the previous governments had recruited 33000 teachers in secondary schools. More than 33000 assistant teachers, more than 6 thousand spokespersons and 800 principals have been appointed in govt and aided schools.
Transparency in the recruitment process Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made the written examination compulsory for the teacher recruitment process in the state. On the basis of the standard of the number of candidates, arrangements are being made for the posting of teachers in the school continuously. The govt has posted 1270 DIET spokespersons, 34 district basic education officers, 45 senior spokespersons & 309 block education officers in five years.
