JBCCI 11 Coal India: offered 10% salary hike latest news update 2022
Latest Updated On 03/09/2022: In the last five meetings of JBCCI-11, the ice on wage settlement has started melting in the sixth meeting. In a meeting held in Kolkata on Friday, the Coal India Management offered a 10 percent (MGB) pay hike, moving forward from the earlier three percent pay hike proposal. At the same time, the unions also backed away from the demand of 50 pay hike and came up to 30 percent. There were many such indications in the meeting, which is expected that the National Coal Wage Agreement (NCW-11) is possible in two-three more meetings. The seventh meeting of JBCCI will be held in the month of October after Durga Puja.

At the beginning of the meeting, the union leaders told the management that till the proposal of increase in wages from Coal India is not reached in double figure, then union representatives will not take any initiative. On September 20, a warning was given to celebrate the protest day in the coal sector. Earlier an offer of 7 percent was given by the management. Then the trade unions were at 35. When 10 per cent was done by the management, the unions came down to 30 percent.
