Latest Updated On 03/09/2022: Bihar Police is going to get more than eight thousand soldiers soon. The Central Selection Board on Friday declared the result of the examination conducted for the recruitment of 8415 constable posts. A total of 8246 candidates have been selected for the constable. 169 posts reserved for Gorkhas remained vacant due to non-availability of qualified candidates. Recruitment on the basis of written and physical efficiency test According to the Central Selection Board, under advertisement number 5/2020, the recruitment was done for 8415 posts of constable in Bihar Police. The result of the finally selected candidates for the post of constable on the basis of written and physical efficiency test has been released. A total of 8246 candidates have been selected for the post of constable. 36.7 percent of the selected candidates are women. Whereas 63.3 percent male candidates have been selected.

Will handle duty after basic training
8246 candidates selected for the post of constable will be sent to various training centers for basic training after contribution. After completing the training, they will become a part of Bihar Police completely.
One month to contribute
The board has allocated the district and unit of the selected candidates for the constable. They will have to contribute in the allotted districts. According to the board, between September 15 and October 15, the time has been fixed for the selected candidates to contribute in their allotted district and units. In the meantime they have to contribute at the respective place.
Nine lakh candidates had filled the form
About 9 lakh youth had applied for 8415 posts of constable. Candidates were selected for Physical Efficiency Test followed by written examination. The physical efficiency test was taken in February this year. After this the result of the finally selected candidates has been released.
