Latest Updated On 13/09/2022: On the instructions of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, 62 thousand assistant teachers (para teachers) working in primary and middle schools of the state have been given time till December to get the certificate checked. During this period, they will continue to be paid honorarium. Legal action will be taken against the concerned assistant teachers and the honorarium will also be recovered from them if the certificates are found to be fake in the examination of their academic and educational certificates. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given his consent on this late on Monday night and has directed to pay the arrears honorarium of 2 months of assistant teachers.

The honorarium of 62000 assistant teachers of the state is due for the months of July and August. The academic and academic certificates of all assistant teachers were to be scrutinized by July 31. For this, all the districts were instructed to take the prescribed fee for certificate verification from the teachers and get it verified by visiting the respective boards and institutions. The process of investigation is going on from every district to other boards and institutions. Despite this, it has not been completed so far. Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, had last month directed to stop the honorarium of assistant teachers till the certificate verification is not completed. Since then, he was not being paid the honorarium.
