Latest Updated On 26/09/2022: To improve the nutritional status in Bihar, 80 percent i.e. about 90 thousand Anganwadi centers are being monitored through nutrition tracker app. Information and reports related to this are being sent to the Directorate of Integrated Child Development Project. Anganwadi workers are also being motivated towards improving it gradually.


Alok Kumar, executive director of Integrated Child Development Project, said that the Government of India can also directly see the daily reports received through the nutrition tracker app. The Tracker app has been developed by the Central Government. All the states are connected with it.


The names of all the beneficiaries are registered on the nutrition tracker app. Anganwadi workers have been entrusted with the responsibility of registering the names of the beneficiaries. According to the information, due to the malfunction of the mobile provided by the state government, the sevikas working in some Anganwadi centers have to work by uploading the app on their personal mobiles. Due to mobile problem, many sevaks are not able to upload the information of the beneficiaries on time.

There are a total of 1 lakh 14 thousand 700 Anganwadi centers in the state. In the last six months, more than two thousand inactive Anganwadi centers have been made active. Official sources of the Directorate of Integrated Child Development Projects said that the proposal for increasing the number of Anganwadi centers in the state was sent by the state government for the approval of the Government of India, which has not yet been approved. Through Anganwadi centers, nutrition is also distributed to the children coming to the center in addition to the nutrition area, 14-18 years old adolescent girls in 13 aspirational districts. The expenditure on distribution of nutrition is paid by both the central and state governments.
