UKPSC Group 'C' Recruitment 2022: Age relaxation will be available from the date of last advertisement latest news update
Latest Updated On 23/09/2022: Applicants in Group C examinations being conducted through Public Service Commission will get age relaxation from the date of last advertisement issued by the Subordinate Services Selection Commission. This means that the candidate who was fulfilling the age limit on the day of release of the advertisement by the Subordinate Services Selection Commission will also be able to apply for the upcoming examination.
The government has transferred 12 examinations of subordinate service selection to the Public Service Commission. The Subordinate Services Selection Commission had already completed the application process for these. Now the Public Service Commission is seeking fresh applications for all the examinations. Many applicants who had applied in the past were in danger of being excluded from recruitment due to exceeding the maximum age limit. In this sequence, the commission had sought directions from the government. On this, the Personnel Department has asked the Commission to fix the maximum age limit cut-off in all such cases on the date of advertisement issued by the Subordinate Services Selection Commission. For example, the advertisement of Revenue Inspector was released on June 17, 2021, so now the cut-off of maximum age in the new examination will be on this date.

The Personnel Department has made a proposal to keep all the new and old applicants free from the examination fee. Earlier, the cabinet had given fee waiver only to the youth who had applied earlier. According to Additional Secretary Personnel LM Ryal, orders will be issued in this regard soon. In this sequence, the commission will conduct the examination.
