Latest Updated On 02/08/2022: The recruitment of 1068 Home Guard posts in 2017 has been cancelled. The video recording, CD and hard disk of the earlier restoration process has been canceled due to non-availability of hard disk. Now it will be restarted again. This information was provided by the government in the assembly on Monday. It has also been informed that the process of re-enrolment will began again. Rules and Instructions have been given to the concerned department for this.
In response to the short notice question in the Vidhan Sabha of Dhanbad MLA Raj Sinha, the Home, Prison and Disaster Management Department has said that the video recording of the process of Home Guard restoration, CD and hard disk are not available in the respective office to cancel the restoration process. Decision has been taken.

MLA Raj Sinha had raised a question in the Dhanbad Jharkhand assembly that the selected home guards are staging a sit-in at Randhir Verma Chowk in Dhanbad since 9 July. People protesting say that the advt. was released in 2017. The result was also issued in the same year.
