Trending News: 45 thousand teachers hope for old pension latest news update 2022
Amidst the preparations of the Central Government to give the benefit of the old pension scheme to the employees selected after January 1, 2004 on the posts advertised before the implementation of the new pension scheme, 45 thousand council teachers of Uttar Pradesh are also expected to get old pension.
Union Law and Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju, while replying to a question in Parliament, clarified on 28 July that there is no legal impediment to issue old pension order to the employees selected on the posts advertised prior to January 1, 2004. The Central Government implemented the new pension scheme on January 1, 2004, while the Uttar Pradesh government on 1 April 2005.
