Appointment will be done in 17 districts and 4 units: A meeting of the Departmental Compassionate Committee was held recently to appoint the minor dependents of policemen who died in service as child constables. In this, 45 proposals from districts and units were considered. Of these, 31 proposals were found fit for appointment. His appointment was recommended by the committee to the DGP. There are also four girls among them. At the same time, 14 proposals related to the appointment of child constable have been kept pending. Due to non-completion of papers or the age limit not being minimum 12 years, it has been decided to keep these proposals pending for the time being.

There was a change in the rule: There is a provision in Bihar to appoint the minor children of dead policemen to the post of child constable. The age limit for this is between 12 to 18 years. That is, to become a child soldier, it is necessary to have this age limit. The problem used to come where the child was less than seven years old at the time of the death of the policeman.
