Latest Updated On 13/07/2022: The new education policy will be implemented in private universities of Uttarakhand from the same session. For this, an exercise has been started at the government level.
Suggestions have been sought from private universities to improve the arrangements under the new education policy in the degree colleges of the state. Private universities will also have to provide facilities like state universities. Under the new system, private universities will also have to give the facility to the students to choose the subject of their choice in the campus. Also, universities offering law and management courses will have to start courses in other subjects. Presently there are 21 private universities, three deemed universities, one central university and 12 state universities operating in the state. Arrangements are to be made to implement the new education policy in state universities as well as private universities and deemed universities from this session. For which the round of meetings and preparations have started at the government level. In the meeting held in the presence of Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat at the government level on Tuesday, extensive discussions were held with the operators of private universities regarding the implementation of the new education policy.
