Latest Updated On 27/07/2022: On Tuesday, the Supreme Court held a hearing on the SLP filed against the order of the Jharkhand High Court regarding the sixth JPSC appointment. During the hearing in the division bench of Justice Ajay Rastogi and Justice CT Ravi Kumar, arguments were made on behalf of the respondents. The hearing will carry on Wednesday as well.
During the hearing on Tuesday, senior advocates Kapil Sibal and Amritansh Vats, appearing for the respondents, told the court that the result has been issued as per the terms of the advertisement. Candidates have to obtain minimum marks in all the papers. At the same time, the marks of Paper-I were not to be added to the total score. The sixth JPSC examination has been conducted under the Bihar Civil Services Rules 1951. In such a situation, it is also right to issue revised results on behalf of JPSC on the orders of the High Court.

Let us tell you that during the hearing in this case on July 40, an affidavit was filed on behalf of the state government saying that 60 jobseekers who were out after the revised quantum cannot be accommodated. Only 38 posts are vacant with the state govt in the year 2021. So it is impossible to accommodate Sixty (60) people. In this regard, an SLP has been filed in the Supreme Court against the order of the High Court on behalf of Varun Kumar & Kirti Kujur and others. All are selected applicants, who are currently doing job.
