Trending News: Bihar Admission 2022-23 in engineering colleges 1560 seats increased latest news update
Latest Updated On 26/07/2022: 1560 seats have increased in engineering colleges of the state. There is an increase of 480 seats in polytechnic colleges. Students will be enrolled on these increased seats from the academic session 2022-23 itself. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has given permission for new courses in 27 engineering colleges and five polytechnic colleges. In most of the new courses, 60-60 students will be able to enroll in some 30 students. The Department of Science & Technology has provide this information.

With the introduction of new courses, the admission capacity in engineering colleges has increased to 10865. Apart from this, those students will be enrolled in five percent seats, whose parents' annual income is less than eight lakhs. Thus the seats will become 11408. The seats of polytechnic colleges have gone up to 12081. By adding five percent seats, this number has increased to 12685. The department has also said that 591 seats in engineering colleges and 390 seats in polytechnic colleges were cut by AICTE, which has also been reinstated.
