4050 Community Health Officer that means CHO will be reinstated in Bihar. They are to be restored under the National Health Mission means NHM. This will help in reaching health facilities in rural areas of the state. They will lead ASHA, health workers providing primary health facilities in the rural areas.
The process of reinstatement on contract basis has been began by the Health Committee of the Health Department. 936 posts are unreserved while 499 posts have been earmarked for unreserved women (UR(F)).
B.Sc Nursing and GNM qualification holders will be reinstated: According to the department, BSc / Post Basic BSc Nursing and GNM qualification holders will be given an opportunity for the reinstatement of all CHO. Only degree obtained from an educational institution recognized by the Central or State Govt will be valid. According to the department, the selected applicants for the post of CHO will get a monthly honorarium of 25,000 Rupees. In addition, an achievement based incentive of 15,000 Rupess will be paid. The incentive will be paid on the remarkable achievement of the selected applicants in the work done by them to make the primary health facilities accessible to the common people.
Online applications have been invited till 03/03/2022. Along with the application, unreserved, backward class, most backward class and economically weaker section (EWS) candidates will have to pay 500 Rupees & Bihar resident SC, ST and women candidates will have to pay 250 Rupees as application fee online. Those who are already working with the post of CHO, they have don't need to apply again. Before taking office, the candidates will have to give a bond paper of 1.50 lakh rupees by writing on a stamp paper of 1000 Rupees. It is mandatory for the applicant to be permanently registered in the Nursing Council of the Central or any State Govt.
