According to the information, in the past, after making appointments on technical posts under compassionate grounds, the Health Department had to face embarrassment in the court. The Health Department also sought consultation from the Finance Department in this regard. On this, the Finance Department cited the guidelines issued by the General Administration Department regarding compassionate appointment. Also, it was said that consultation should be obtained from the General Administration Department regarding adjustment of personnel appointed on compassionate grounds on the post of clerk or lower division clerk by changing the post of basic health worker after 18 to 38 years of service. After this, the Health Department cancelled all the earlier orders related to adjustment of personnel appointed on the post of basic health worker or non-medical assistant on the non-technical posts of clerk or lower division clerk. But, at the same time, it also issued an order that in future, action for appointment on compassionate grounds should be taken only on non-technical posts.
