Latest Updated On 04/03/2025: The Jharkhand High Court has directed not to take coercive action against the chargesheeted accused in the first JPSC scam case. Hearing on Monday a petition challenging the summons order issued by the CBI court of Ranchi, the High Court stayed the coercive action till further orders. The next hearing of the case will be held on April 16.
In this regard, Saurabh Prasad and others have filed a petition in the High Court challenging the order of the CBI court dated January 16, 2025. The petitioners include Raj Maheshwaram alias Raj Maheshwar Ram, Pradeep Kumar, Chintu Dorai Buru, Anwar Hussain, Sandeep Dubey, Dhirendra Kumar Singh, Bhagirath Prasad, Mo Ziaul Ansari, Dinesh Kumar Ranjan, Sagar Kumar, Lalan Kumar, Pankaj Kumar Saw and Premlata Murmu.

Let us tell you that the CBI, after completing the investigation, filed a chargesheet against the then Chairman of JPSC, Dr. Dilip Prasad and other accused on May 4 last year after 12 years. On January 16, the CBI court had taken cognizance of the recruitment scam and issued summons against 74 accused including 47 officers.
It should also be noted that Shalini Vijay's name was also included among those accused against whom the CBI investigating officer had requested the CBI special court to issue a non-bailable warrant the previous day. This is the same Shalini Vijay whose body was found on February 21 in suspicious condition along with the bodies of her mother and brother in different rooms of her brother's flat in Kochi, Kerala. Kochi police is still investigating this case.
Non-bailable warrant was sought against 21 accused
In the first JPSC scam case, the CBI investigating officer had requested the CBI special court to issue a non-bailable warrant against 21 chargesheeted accused who did not appear in court either in person or through their advocates even after the summons were issued.
