Latest Updated 26/07/2024: The CBI has so far raided 33 places to arrest the big setters and accused in the NEET paper leak case. All the raids have been conducted in Bihar, Jharkhand and other places.

The search for the main setter and some other kingpins is still on in this case. Many important evidences have been collected in the investigation so far. On Thursday, the Central Investigation Agency (CBI) issued a press release and gave information about the investigation so far. According to this, so far 36 people including 7 solvers studying MBBS in Patna AIIMS and other medical colleges have been arrested. Out of this, 15 have been arrested by Bihar Police and EOU team. The remaining have been arrested by the CBI investigation team. The CBI has been investigating this case since 23 June. After this, taking under its control the FIR lodged in Shastrinagar police station of Patna, further investigation is going on in the whole matter.
In the investigation done so far in the NEET-UG 2024 question paper leak case, it has come to light that it was leaked from Oasis School in Hazaribagh in the early morning of 5 May. It was leaked by Pankaj alias Aditya alias Sahil, a resident of Jamshedpur. He is one of the masterminds of the NEET scandal. In this, apart from the principal of this school, the complicity of the vice-principal cum center superintendent as well as other people from Hazaribagh has come to the fore. They have been arrested. With the help of a half-burnt piece of question paper, the CBI got a lot of help in reaching this NEET examination center. The investigation also revealed that the boxes of NEET-UG question papers were brought to this school and kept in the control room on the morning of 5 May, that is, on the day of the examination.
A few minutes after the boxes arrived, the principal and vice-principal of this school unauthorizedly and illegally allowed Pankaj to enter this room. The sophisticated equipment used to open the box and retrieve the question papers from the box has also been seized. After taking out the question paper, it was solved at some place in Hazaribagh itself through a group of solvers on the morning of 5 May 2024. The solved paper was shared with the students who paid money to the accused.

All solvers have been identified. Most of them have been arrested. All of them are MBBS students in reputed colleges. These solvers were specially brought to Hazaribagh. Accused Pankaj along with some others carried out this crime. Many of them have been arrested. All these setters were actively assisted by a group. They had arranged for the stay of the candidates. Some people were involved in collecting and ferrying the candidates. The candidates who received the solved question papers are being traced.
