Latest Updated28/07/2024: Students from across the country seeking admission in B.Tech at IIT ISM Dhanbad have started arriving in Dhanbad. Many students reported at the hostel on Saturday. All students have to report by 9 am on Sunday. To ensure that students do not face any problems, the help desk of IIT Dhanbad has started functioning from Saturday evening. Vehicles have been arranged for the arrival of new students from Dhanbad Railway Station to IIT Campus.
The campus is fully prepared to welcome new students. Orientation program will be held on 29th July. Campus tour will also be conducted by bus on the same day. Classes will start from 30th. Before reporting to the campus, IIT Dhanbad has asked the students seeking admission to complete the online registration process as soon as possible. Students have been divided into two groups for the first two semesters.

The first group includes Civil, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Mining, Mining Machinery Engineering. Students of the remaining other branches are included in the second group. IIT Dhanbad has allotted rooms in Amber Hostel for boys and Roslyn Hostel for girls. Students arriving on 27th or late on 28th July can go directly to their hostels. The campus is being prepared for new students. IIT ISM has issued a welcome letter for newly enrolled students. The welcome letter contains information about enrollment and other details.

Important information
● Students coming from Ranchi, Durgapur, Deoghar airport will have to make their own arrangements.
● Information about the hostel room allotted to the new students will be given on the registered email ID.
● Rooms will be booked for parents on the campus on first come, first serve basis.
