Latest Updated 12/06/2024: The attendance of teachers, headmasters and children in all schools of the state will now be taken through the e-Shikshakosh mobile app. Teachers-headmasters will register their attendance on this app at the time of coming and going from 25 June. At the same time, in the second phase, the daily attendance of children will also be obtained from this app. Tablet computers will be made available in all government schools to obtain the attendance of children.


Regarding this, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, Dr. S Siddharth has released a letter to all the District Education Officers on Tuesday. It has been said in the letter that the system of obtaining the attendance data of teachers and students through video conferencing every day has been discontinued. Under the new system, the headmaster and teachers will download the e-Shikshakosh app on their mobile from Google Play Store. Everyone will log in to the app with their teacher ID. Teachers who do not have a teacher ID already or have forgotten it, can get it by contacting their headmaster. After logging in to the e-Shikshakosh app, click on the 'Mark Attendance' button marked on the dashboard. This app will work only within 500 meters radius of the school.

Department has banned the transfer of teachers


The Education Department of Bihar has banned the transfer of teachers. The department has said that the process of counselling and posting of teachers who have passed the competency test is going on. If information of transfer of any teacher is received during this process, strict action will be taken against the concerned person. In this regard, Director of Secondary Education Sunny Sinha has issued guidelines to the District Education Officers on Tuesday. Along with this, a list of working teachers and their vacant posts, subject wise, and the number of enrolled children has been sought from all DMs by June 25.
