Bihar Economic Offences Unit team nabbed all of them
Latest Updated 23/06/2024: Bihar's Economic Offences Unit (EOU) has arrested Sintu Kumar alias Chintu alias Baldev Kumar and 5 suspects involved in the NEET paper leak case in Deoghar. The special team of EOU reached Patna on Saturday afternoon with all six. They are being interrogated at a secret place. Sintu Kumar is a resident of Guleria Bigha village of Karai-Pashurai block of Nalanda. He is considered an important character in the question paper leak case. EOU received information that Sintu along with his associates were hiding in Jhunnu Singh's house near AIIMS in Devipur police station area of Deoghar. After this, the team from Patna reached there and arrested everyone by raiding with the help of local police on Friday night.
According to sources, the question paper was first sent on Sintu's WhatsApp by the gang of main setter Atul Vats and Anshul Singh. After this, he sent it to his younger setters Amit Anand, Nitish and others. It reached the students through three-four channels. In the interrogation so far, it has come to light that Sintu had sent the question paper to two places including Hazaribagh in Jharkhand through WhatsApp. There is a possibility of big revelations in this interrogation. For example, where and to how many people were the question papers sent? Where are Atul and Anshul hiding? By finding out this, we can reach the two main setters.
The secret revealed by the burnt question paper. On the night of May 4, a day before NEET, 35-40 students were being made to memorize the answers of the question paper in Learn and Play School located in Khemnichak area of Patna. During this time, 16 were arrested in a police raid. Here, pieces of burnt question paper were also found along with many documents. This revealed that the question paper was leaked.
