They will be called special teachers as soon as they join the new school. In such a situation, these teachers will also be given a new appointment letter. The education department has started preparing for this.
Departmental officials say that as soon as the employed teachers become special teachers, they will get the status of a government employee. Therefore, they will also be given a new appointment letter. The department is preparing to start counselling of teachers who have passed the competency test between 10-15 June. Within ten days, everyone's counselling will be done in the respective districts. The department's target is to get all the willing teachers posted in a school in their allotted district by 30 June. It is known that one lakh 87 thousand teachers have passed the competency test, who are to be posted.
The department has already made it clear that teachers who score better marks in the competency test will be posted in schools in urban areas. In view of this, separate lists of vacant posts in schools in urban and rural areas are being prepared. School allocation to teachers is to be done through software. Before this, the list of vacant posts and teachers is being uploaded in the software sequentially. According to the information received from the department, guidelines regarding counseling of employed teachers etc. will be issued immediately after the end of the code of conduct.
Vacancies are also being finalized
Along with the posting of teachers who have passed the competency test, the department is also busy finalizing the details of subject-wise vacant posts. Till now the department does not have the data of vacant posts district-wise. The department is constantly in touch with the districts regarding this. Department officials say that its information and updated status report will be placed before the new departmental Additional Chief Secretary Dr. S Siddharth, who has been given additional charge in place of KK Pathak till June 30.
