Vice Chancellor released online merit list for four-year graduation course
Latest Updated 09/06/2024: The first merit list for admission to undergraduate courses in the colleges of Patna University was released on Saturday. The cutoff has gone up considerably. The merit list for admission in the four-year undergraduate course session 2024-28 was released online by Vice Chancellor Prof. KC Sinha. The highest cutoff in the university was 90.8 percent for general category students of Zoology and Mathematics Department in Patna Science College.

The cutoff for girl students in general category in Zoology was 88.2 and for Mathematics it was 86.2. Apart from this, the highest cutoff of 93.6 was for general category girl students of Political Science Department in Magadh Mahila College. At the same time, the cutoff for general category students of Political Science Department in Patna College was 92.6 and for girl students it was 86.4. The subjects in highest demand in various colleges under the university are Zoology, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science, Economics, Geography.

Admission will have to be taken from 10 to 12 June. Selected candidates will download their allotment letter and after making online payment, will download the payment slip. Selected candidates are required to appear for counselling and admission in the allotted college between 10th June to 12th June between 10.00 am to 4.0 pm along with allotment letter, payment slip, all original certificates mentioned in the allotment letter and one set of photocopies (self attested) of all certificates and 4 passport size photographs. Otherwise, their claim for admission will be cancelled. After taking admission, if the applicants want to change their subject or college, then a slide up facility has been made for them on the portal. On sliding up, the applicant will appear in the second merit list and on sliding up, their previously allotted subject and college will automatically end. The applicants who have slid up will not need counselling again. If satisfied, they will have to login to the portal again and close the up option with the slide up button.

After the release of the first merit list on June 1 in Patna Women's College, the list of documents required for admission was also released on Saturday. Four photographs, original certificate of 12th or graduation, SLC, CLC/DLS, character certificate, caste certificate (only for reserved candidates), Christian candidates will have to bring baptism certificate, migration certificate and application form on the day of enrollment. Those who have passed 12th from BSEB and graduated from PU will not need migration certificate.
