Latest Updated 01/05/2024: 13 universities of the state including BRABU have not yet received permission from the Directorate of Higher Education to open vocational courses in the new session. Due to this, the process of admission in the university could not start.

- Last year the university got approval for admission only for one year
Last year, the Directorate of Higher Education had given permission for conditional admission for one year. Universities are also not taking any steps as no new letter has been received on enrollment from the Directorate of Higher Education. BRABU PRO Prof Rajeev Jha says that a letter has been sent by the university to the directorate for admission in the vocational course. Dr. Atul Chandra Ghosh, CCDC of Tilkamanjhi Bhagalpur University, said that the admission process has not started in his place too. Director of Higher Education Prof. Rekha Kumari said that if universities ask for guidance, they will be given guidance regarding admission.

The issue of admission to BCA and BBA vocational courses is also stuck. Directorate of Higher Education has directed to run BBA and BCA courses only after recognition from AICTE. Many colleges in BRABU have received provisional recognition, but their list has not been received by the Directorate of Higher Education. The list of provisional recognition has also not been released from other universities. After provisional recognition, AICTE will conduct physical verification of these colleges and then give permanent recognition.
