Latest Updated 22/05/2024: The Education Department will pay the salaries of teachers and non-teaching staff of universities and degree colleges directly into their accounts. The department has intensified preparations in this regard. A portal has been developed for direct salary payment. The department will provide separate training to university and college officials regarding the operation of this portal from 25 May.
Dr. Rekha Kumari, Director of Higher Education of the Department, has sent a letter in this regard to the Registrars of all the universities of the state and the Principals of the affiliated colleges. It has been said in the letter that the Education Department is considering paying the salaries of teachers and non-teaching staff directly into their accounts. Registrars, Finance Officers, Finance Consultants, Principals and Bursars are to be given training regarding the operation of the portal created for this work. So that, the desired information can be uploaded directly from the university and college level on this portal. For this, log-in and password is also to be given to every university and college.

At present, there is a provision by the department to send the salary amount to all the universities in the form of grant. After this, salaries are paid to all teachers and non-teaching staff at the university level. According to the preparation of the department, now the money will not be given to the universities.
