At the same time, UPSC had proposed 26th May as the date of Civil Services preliminary examination in the examination calendar of the year 2024 released earlier, but in view of the Lok Sabha elections, the Commission had to change the examination date and in the revised calendar, the proposed date of preliminary examination is 16th June.

The last date to apply for UGC NET is 10 May. The examination fee will be deposited from 11th May to 12th May (1150 PM) and the date of correction in online application form is 13th to 15th May. At the same time, admit cards will be issued a week before the examination.

Exam returned in offline mode

This time UGC NET will be based on offline OMR instead of online. Dr. Santosh Kumar, guide of NET/JRF examination, said that while giving information about the problems being faced in the online examination, he said that in the online examination, along with the problem of server down at the center, students' computers are shutting down in the middle of the examination, there is problem in reading comprehension. There were many problems including this, which will provide relief to the students.

Exam will be held for three categories

This time the exam will be for all three categories, JRF, Assistant Professor and PhD. Experts believe that UGC has taken a positive step from the point of view of the new education policy. While this will increase the number of good researchers, it will also save both time and money of the students.
