Latest Updated 14/04/2024: Many important decisions were taken in the meeting of the Governing Committee of La-Martiniere Boys College (Local Committee of Governors of La-Martiniere College) held on Saturday. In the meeting on March 11, all the 11 teachers and employees removed by the then Principal C. McFarland were reinstated. The committee took several steps to improve the teaching of the college. It was decided not to increase the fees of any student taking admission in the college after April 2018. All the officials including District Magistrate, Divisional Commissioner were present in the meeting.


The Committee decided that in order to implement a uniform fee structure for all students enrolled in the same class, there will be no increase in the fees for students admitted after April 2018. The fee increase permissible under the Uttar Pradesh Self-Financing Independent Schools (Fees Regulation) Act 2018 for the year in which the 7th CPC comes into force will be applicable only for those students who were enrolled in the college before 31 March 2018. According to the college system, there will be no increase in fees before five years. Letters regarding all the committee's decisions have been released by Principal Gary Dominic Everett.

Preparation for JEE, NEET will be done. Booster classes will be given to the students of class 11 and 12 in the college. The committee decided that students of classes 11 and 12 will be prepared with preparation modules for JEE, NEET and other competitive exams. Also an English Language Center will be established on the campus. Apart from this, a career counseling center equipped with all facilities will be developed.


According to the recruitment information of teaching and non-teaching staff, it has been decided in the committee meeting to invite applications for recruitment in the college. Applications have been invited from teaching and non-teaching staff through recruitment.


Two new sections will be played in each class


The committee has decided that two sections will be opened in all classes from nursery to classes nine and 11. Along with this, the college campus will be converted into air-conditioned class rooms in a phased manner. It has also been decided to install CCTV in the college campus. Apart from this, all the class rooms having chalk and duster boards will be replaced with interactive smart boards. A variety of sports and co-curricular programs will be extended to all students of the college. The college kitchen will be equipped with consultancy provided by Premier Hotels of Lucknow.
