Latest Updated 17/04/2024: Counseling of employed teachers who have passed the competency test will now be possible only in June. Only after counselling, these teachers will be posted in the school of their allotted district.

The matter of conducting counseling regarding the code of conduct applicable for the Lok Sabha elections has come to a halt. Counseling of 1 lakh 87 thousand teachers who have passed the competency test is to be done.

The Education Department had sought permission from the Election Commission for counselling. But, the code of conduct has just been cited by the Commission. Department officials say that the code of conduct will end after the election results, after which counseling will be done. Subject wise vacancy has also been sought from all the districts for posting the employed teachers in the schools of the allotted district. The entry of the list of schools in cities and rural areas in the state will continue in a phase-wise manner till April 22.
