Academic Advisory Committee meeting held at Geographical Studies Center

Latest Updated 03/04/2024: The first Academic Advisory Committee meeting of the Center for Geographical Studies (CGS) of Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU) was held on Tuesday. 18 agendas were discussed in the meeting, in which it was decided to appoint a total of eight researchers working in the Center for Geographical Studies as research supervisors.


Also, it was decided to start Geographical Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing courses from the new session (2024-25). Approval was given to start the certificate course for employment oriented Amin course. Besides, the eligibility criteria for the sanctioned posts of Assistant Professor and Cartographer were also agreed upon. It was agreed to make the syllabus of MA, MSc in Geography according to the common syllabus approved by the Governor's Secretariat. The committee advised to establish a GIS lab in the center soon. The main objective of the formation of the committee is to make various activities including researchers, curriculum and teaching-training of the Geographical Studies Center development-oriented.

Nazim, Professor of Geography Department of TMBU Bhagalpur, Prof. Sanjay Kumar Jha, former director of DDE PU, Prof. Ravi Kiran Sharma, retired professor of BN Mandal University Madhepura.
