Candidates made allegations in Dhanbad, Jamtara and Chatra
Latest Updated 18/03/2024: In the first shift examination of Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Preliminary Competitive Examination 2023 (11th JPSC), students created a ruckus at two centers in Dhanbad, two centers in Jamtara and one center in Chatra.
Students boycotted the examination in Dhanbad. In Dhanbad also, students boycotted the examination center in Delhi Public School (DPS), accusing it of giving arbitrary benefits to some particular students. At the same time, the students who had come to take the examination in Government High School, Putki, created a ruckus due to not tallying the marks of the answer sheet. Applicants also accused of not opening the question paper in front.
Students protested in the first shift at the examination center located at Tribal Degree College & Inter College of Mihijam in Jamtara, alleging that the paper was leaked. Due to this, the examination started there with a delay of about half an hour. 364 applicants were appearing for the examination at these two centres.
Uproar in Chatra: Candidates created ruckus in Chatra's Upendranath Verma Inter College also alleging paper leak. His allegation was that the bundle of papers was opened only after taking 2-4 students into confidence.

Secretary will take action on the report of Deputy Commissioner
On the allegation of paper leak in Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Preliminary Competitive Examination, JPSC Secretary Akshay Kumar Singh said that the exam was peaceful except in a few centers in the Jharkhand. Reports have been sought from the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts including the DC of some centers where applicants have alleged paper leakage. Videography is also complete during the examination. DC's report & videography will be investigated. Then action will be taken.
BPSC asked for evidence of paper leak from EOU
BPSC has sought evidence from the Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) in the teacher recruitment exam paper leak case. The Commission has said that after receiving concrete evidence and desired information, after review, a decision will be taken on the third phase of teacher recruitment examination. The Commission has said that in this case evidence has been collected by raiding many places in Hazaribagh.
JSSC CGL paper was also leaked
Earlier in the month of January, the paper of Jharkhand General Graduate Qualified Combined Competitive Examination (JSSC CGL) conducted by Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission was also leaked. The candidates created a ruckus regarding this also. The Commission had canceled the examination. After this the Chairman of the Commission resigned from his post.
