Notice to Jharkhand government regarding recruitment of assistant professor latest news update 2024
Latest Updated 13/02/2024: While hearing the petition against the High Court's order to include CTET and TET pass candidates from neighboring states in the Assistant Professor appointment examination, the Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Jharkhand government. The court of Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Arvind Kumar has issued a notice to the government and directed it to file its reply within two weeks. Jharkhand High Court had given its verdict in December 2023 on the petition of Jharkhand CTET Passed Candidates Association and directed to include CTET and TET passed candidates from neighboring states in the Assistant Professor Appointment Examination.
This order has been challenged in the Supreme Court by JET pass candidate Parimal Kumar and others. Senior advocate Gopal Shankar Narayan and advocate Amritansh Vats presented the case on behalf of the applicant.

Told in the Supreme Court that the JET candidates have the knowledge of the regional language of Jharkhand, Santhali, Khortha etc., because they have given the exam.
But CTET candidates have only knowledge of Hindi or English subject as regional language. When CTET teachers are appointed in the primary schools of Jharkhand, they will face difficulty in imparting education to the children in the regional language of Jharkhand. This will be a violation of the Right to Education. Jharkhand High Court has no right to interfere in such a policy matter. Only the Parliament has this right.
