Latest Updated 09/02/2024: The process of application for the third phase of Bihar Public Service Commission Teacher Appointment Recruitment Examination will start from 10 February. In the third phase, the maximum competition will be for primary and middle schools. There will be less vacancies and more applications. Because of this, there is every possibility that the result of CTE conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education will be declared between 15th to 17th February.


In CTET, including Paper One and Paper Two, 31 lakh 32 thousand candidates from across the country had applied. Whereas from Bihar, 5 lakh 58 thousand candidates had appeared for both the papers together. The exam was taken on 21 January. Lakhs of candidates who are successful in this examination will get a chance to apply in the third phase. Successful applicants with B.Ed will be able to apply from class 6th to 8th. Whereas candidates with D.El.Ed will apply for primary schools. In such a situation, candidates from classes 1 to 5 and classes 6 to 8 will get a chance to apply in the third phase. According to the information received from the sources of Education Department & Commission, there will be less vacancies in primary.

Less applications will be received in the third phase: This time the Commission is not giving a chance to any appearing candidates. Only those whose results are already clear have been given a chance to apply. The online application for STET was made by Bihar Board in December itself. Its examination is possible in March. In such a situation, new candidates will not come to secondary and higher secondary. In such a situation, only previously STET successful candidates will be able to apply. There is a possibility of less applications in Higher Secondary and Secondary but the number of vacancies is likely to be more. The number of upgraded schools has increased across Bihar. In such a situation, there will be more vacancies in secondary and higher secondary. In the 2nd phase examination, fewer applicants were successful in many subjects. In such a condition, there is a possibility of more vacancies & less applications in the third phase.

3 lakh vacancies of teachers were filled in six months


If seen in a way, Bihar is at the forefront in making records in teacher recruitment in the entire country. This is the first state in the country which has created vacancies for more than three lakh teachers in a span of six months. In this, 1 lakh 20 thousand vacancies were filled in the 1st phase. In the second phase, about 96 thousand teachers were appointed. On the other hand, after the order of the Education Department, BPSC has also released the vacancy for the third phase. There is a possibility of 87 thousand vacancies in this also. The online application process for this will start from 10th February. The last date for online application has been set as 23 February.
