Latest Updated 27/02/2024: UGC has given permission to start online programs in Lucknow University. Admissions will be started soon. The syllabus has been prepared. UGC has given approval to LU to start online programs of B.Com and M.Com. Admissions to both the courses will start from the month of February. The syllabus of the courses has also been prepared. Coordinator of online courses Prof. Piyush Bhargava told that an application was made to the University Grants Commission (UGC) to start online programs in B.Com and M.Com. 

The complete syllabus had also been prepared. That was also sent to UGC. UGC has given permission to start B.Com and M.Com online. Admissions to both the courses will start from the month of February itself. The recognition of these degrees will be equivalent to the regular degrees of the university.

The online course coordinator said that the syllabus of other courses is also being prepared. Soon these will also be started online.

Exam will be offline

Coordinator of online courses Prof. Piyush Bhargava told that there will be six semesters in B.Com in three years. There will be six papers each each semester. The syllabus is same as regular B.Com. Whereas in M.Com there will be four semesters in two years. PDF and video of the lecture will be made available online to the admitted students. Problems and questions of students will be solved online by teachers. Examination of online courses will be offline. Students will have to go to university to take exams. LU will also apply to UGC for many subjects including English, Sanskrit, Ancient Indian History, Economics and BBA.
