Latest Updated 09/01/2024: The honorarium of Anganwadi workers and assistants of the state has been increased. This proposal was provide the green signal in the cabinet meeting. This decision of the cabinet will benefit 2.30 lakh maids and assistants.

• The share of Center and State is now 38.5761.43 percent.

Additional Chief Secretary of Cabinet Department, Dr. S. Siddharth said that his honorarium has been increased by 15 to 35 percent. Anganwadi worker will now get Rs 7 thousand while the helper will get Rs 4 thousand. Under this scheme, the share of Center and State is 6040. After the new increase, the state government will bear the burden of the increased amount from its own resources. After this, the share of the Central Government in this scheme will reduce to 38.57 percent.

Whereas, Bihar's share will increase to 61.43 percent. On January 6, a delegation of Anganwadi workers and helpers met the Chief Minister. During this, the Chief Minister had assured a respectable increase in his honorarium. Not only this, it was on his instructions that the services of 10203 maids and 8016 assistants who were de-selected during the strike period were reinstated.
