Latest Updated 22/12/2023: Get ready to apply online for BPL admission in public schools in the session 2024-25. RTE (Right to Free and Compulsory Education) Cell cum DSE office has started the exercise of online process to maintain uniformity in applications and admissions.
Note: The online process for BPL admission will be completed in the session 2024-25. Admission notice will be issued in January. Parents should prepare related documents.
The proposal has been approved by DC Varun Ranjan. It is likely that soon an order will be issued by RTE Cell to start the process of online application for BPL admission. The local department has started preparing for this. Online applications will be invited in January.

Total number of seats will be asked from schools
Filling of BPL admission form for 2023-24 started from January 19. Due to this, the application process for the year 2024-25 session will also start on time. There are more than 650 seats for BPL admission in more than 60 RTE recognized public schools in Dhanbad, however, for the year 2024, information will be sought from all the schools regarding the seats available in the entry class (the class from which studies start). After that the total number of seats will be released.
Parents should prepare the documents
On behalf of the local department, all the parents have been requested to prepare other documents including birth certificate, Aadhaar, annual income certificate less than Rs 72 thousand, photographs in advance. Parents started visiting the District Education Department office to know when the BPL admission will start for the year 2024.
Nursery education started in many schools
Nursery and pre-nursery studies have started in many schools from session 2024. Due to this, parents will get the opportunity to enroll their children in nursery and pre-nursery in various public schools of the city.
