For the appointment of Assistant Teacher, Jharkhand Elementary School Trained Assistant Teacher Combined Competitive Examination will be held from 12 to 31 January 2024. Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission that means JSSC released the exam schedule on Wednesday.

The examination will be held at various centers in Bokaro, Deoghar, Dhanbad, East Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan and Ranchi districts.

On behalf of the applicant, the court was also told that there is a provision in the guidelines of NCTE dated 23 August 2010 that if the state government does not conduct the TET exam, then candidates who have passed TET exam from another state or CTET pass from the central government will be considered for appointment. .

The applicant had requested the court to order the state government to conduct the JET exam soon. It was said in the petition that JET is not being taken in Jharkhand for the last seven years. CTET should also be recognized in Jharkhand like JET, because the state government has failed in taking JET in the last seven years. In such a situation, the age limit of CTET pass candidates is also gradually ending. The state government is going to start the process of teacher appointment without taking the JET exam from the year 2016, due to which about four lakh candidates will be deprived of appearing in the teacher recruitment exam.
