In the second phase, one lakh 22 thousand teachers will be reinstated in Bihar

Latest Updated 22/12/2023: The result of the second phase of 1 lakh 22 thousand 286 teacher recruitment examination will be released this week. BPSC is preparing to release the result by 25th December. It is estimated that it will take three to four days for the results of different categories of teachers from class 1st to 12th to be released.


Result will be released first for 6th to 8th class on 31982 posts


According to the information, the Commission will release about 80 types of results. Separate results will be declared for different subjects for classes 6 to 8, classes 9 and 10 & classes 11 and 12. At the same time, the Education Department has made preparations for counseling of teacher candidates from 25 December. Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department, KK Pathak has directed the education officers of all the districts to done the preparations for the counselling.

It may be noted that BPSC had released the vacancy for the second phase of teacher recruitment examination on 4 November and had sought applications till 25 November. The examination was taken from 7 December to 15 December.


First of all, the result of teacher recruitment examination for the classes 6th to 8th will be declared. After this, the results of teachers of class 11 and 12 & class 9 and 10 will be released. Lastly, the results of primary teachers from class 1st to 5th will be released. More than 7 lakh candidates have appeared in the teacher recruitment examination. More than 8 lakh candidates had downloaded the admit card.


BPSC had started counseling even before the release of the results of 1 lakh 70 thousand teacher recruitment examination in the 1st phase. Counseling of all the candidates appearing in the teacher examination of class 11 and 12 and class 9 and 10 was held in the districts before the release of the results.


Last time, BPSC had sent letters directly to the districts asking them to conduct counseling for the candidates appearing in the examination. This time BPSC has asked the bihar education department itself for the counselling. Last time the dispute between the Education Department and BPSC on the issue of counseling of candidates was in discussion.

Biometric matching will be done in counselling.


During counseling in the districts, it will be mandatory for the candidates to bring the necessary educational certificates along with training certificates like B.Ed, D.El.Ed etc. along with TET, CTET & STET pass certificates. It will be mandatory for reserved and disabled category candidates to bring Aadhaar card, residence certificate, certificates related to this. The result of teacher recruitment examination will be district wise. Successful applicants will join the schools only after getting all the necessary certificates & Aadhaar biometric matching done during the counselling.

Preparation to provide mass appointment letters at Gandhi Maidan


Just as mass appointment letters were distributed among 1.20 lakh selected teachers in the 1st phase on 2 November, in the same way, preparations are being made to distribute mass appointment letters to the selected applicants in the second phase in January. The government will give the appointment letter before the notification of Lok Sabha elections 2024 is issued and the election code of conduct comes into force. BPSC took applications from candidates till 25th November. Just 12 days after receiving the applications, the examination was started from 7th December. The examination was taken till 15th December. The exams of the 2 centers where the exams were canceled were also conducted on 18 December. The result for the teacher posts of all classes will be released within a fortnight after the completion of the examination.
