Decision soon in a case of JPSC recruitment latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 12/11/2023: It's been ten years since seven cases related to Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) recruitment scam. But till now not a single case has been executed. All cases are pending. However, a decision is likely to be taken soon on one of them, the Rs 13.56 lakh OMR scanner machine scam case involving the then JPSC Chairman Dilip Prasad (66 years). Evidence is being presented by CBI in this case. Out of 25 witnesses, 17 witnesses have been presented. After the completion of the testimony, the statements of the four accused facing trial in the case will be recorded.
Dilip Kumar Prasad, Delhi businessmen Surendra Kumar Jain, Sudhir Jain and their company M/s SPS International Limited (private firm) are facing trial in the case. CBI had registered the FIR on 31 May 2013 on the instructions of the High Court. Completing the investigation, a charge sheet was filed in July 2014. It is alleged that Dilip Prasad, while being JPSC President, misused his position and gave permission to his favorite company to purchase OMR scanner.

Due to this, JPSC suffered a revenue loss of Rs 13 lakh 56 thousand 600. Charges were framed against the accused on 11 July 2018. Since then CBI has been presenting evidence.
