Latest Updated 19/10/2023: If postgraduate teachers are not available in the middle schools of the state, teachers with graduate trained pay scale will also become head teachers. In this regard, the education department has relaxed the already fixed standards. According to this, graduate qualified teachers working for minimum four years will be considered eligible for promotion to the post of headmaster in middle schools.
An order in this regard has been issued on Wednesday. This order has been issued with the signature of Director of Primary Education Mithilesh Mishra.
Relaxation in eligibility only for one time
In the order issued by the Director of Primary Education, it has also been made clear that this relaxation in the eligibility for promotion is for one time only. The remaining provisions of promotion will remain the same.
The above order has been issued with the consent of KK Pathak, Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department. This action has been taken due to requisite number of teachers not being available for promotion. The exercise of giving promotion has to be done at the district level.
