Counselling instructions for applying in non-para teacher quota by Jharkhand High Court (JHC) latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 11/10/2023: The division bench of Jharkhand High Court has directed for counseling of those para teachers who had applied in the category of non-para teacher in the primary teacher appointment of the year 2015 and had obtained more marks than the final selected candidates.

The court has directed to complete the process of additional counseling for such teachers within four months.
Along with this direction, the court of Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad and Justice Navneet Kumar rejected the appeal petition of the government and upheld the order of the single bench. The govet had filed an appeal in the division bench against the order of the single bench. While giving the verdict, the division bench justified the order of the single bench and rejected the appeal petition of the government.
A petition was filed in the single bench of the Jharkhand High Court. The government had issued an order saying that in the year 2015, the para teachers who applied in the non-para category for primary teacher appointment will not be counseled nor will their cases be considered. On this, para teachers had filed a petition in the single bench of the High Court. After the hearing, the single bench canceled the government's order and directed for counseling of those para teachers who had applied in the category of non-para teacher and have secured more marks than the last selected candidate. The government had filed an appeal against this order in the division bench, on which the decision was reserved after a long hearing.
