Coal workers will have to wait for Jabalpur High Court decision for the salary
Latest Updated 04/10/2023: Coal workers will have to wait for a few more days for the salary for the month of September. On Tuesday, some instructions were expected from Coal India regarding payment of salaries to its subsidiary companies, but no decision could be taken till late evening.
There is discussion that a decision can be taken only after seeing the stand of Jabalpur High Court on 5 October.

HMS's petition was to be heard in Jabalpur High Court on 3 October. Nathulal Pandey of HMS said that the hearing could not be held. The hearing will now take place on 5 October. Whereas Coal India's petition is to be heard in Jabalpur High Court on 9 October. If official sources are to be believed, Coal India is in a state of confusion regarding payment of salaries. Coal workers have warned of a strike if salaries are not paid at the old rate. On the other hand, if salaries are paid at the new rate, there may be a case of contempt of court. Let us tell you that on the petition filed by the officers, Jabalpur High Court has rejected the Salary Agreement-11 on the charges of violation of DP Guidelines.
