Latest Updated 06/10/2023: On the instructions of the Education Department, BRABU Vice Chancellor Prof. An FIR was lodged against Shailendra Kumar Chaturvedi, Registrar Prof Sanjay Kumar, Finance Officer Vinod Rai and Financial Advisor JP Sharma on Thursday on the complaint of Regional Education Deputy Director Dr Devendra Prasad at the University Police Station.
Director of Higher Education Rekha Kumari had asked to register a case against all of them on charges of financial irregularities within 24 hours. Recently, the Education Department had sent a team to audit the university. Many irregularities were revealed in it. These irregularities included purchasing stationery worth Rs 38 lakh without tender, payment of Rs 58.62 lakh for printing without purchasing committee etc. Here, BRABU PG Teachers and Employees Union will protest against the FIR. Classes and examinations will be postponed. The Sangh said that Raj Bhavan's permission is necessary for the FIR.

Action taken on the orders of Education Department
University Police Station Head Arsad Noman said that for registering the FIR, RDDE has also given 55 pages of evidence of financial irregularities.
He said that FIR has been registered under sections 409, 120 and 34 of IPC.
