30 percent women members mandatory in cooperative societies of UK Uttarakhand latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 16/10/2023: Cooperative Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat gave instructions to speed up the ongoing membership campaign in resource cooperative societies of the Cooperative Department. He said that it should be mandatory to have 30 percent women members in cooperative societies.

While reviewing the schemes in the State Integrated Cooperative Development Project auditorium, Rawat said that the number of women in cooperative societies should be increased. So far, 82 thousand new members have been made in cooperative societies. A total of two lakh new members are to be created. To rescue the resource cooperative societies from losses, the Cooperative Minister instructed the officers to make micro profit plans. He said that he himself will take direct feedback from the officers regarding the progress of the schemes.
How to make Deendayal Upadhyay Loan Distribution Scheme more beneficial, its form should be discussed. Loan distribution in this scheme should be done through Loan Distribution Committee. There will be two intellectuals from the area and one representative from the block or district.
