Latest Updated 03/09/2023: Biometric attendance of sanitation workers of Patna Municipal Corporation will be linked to Aadhaar. The corporation is going to implement Aadhaar enabled biometric attendance system from October 2. The sanitation workers will make their presence felt on the lines of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

Till now the Municipal Corporation had the facility of biometric attendance for sanitation workers. The sanitation workers go to work after making their biometric attendance at the ward office or at any one marked place. There are about 5000 employees in the Municipal Corporation, who will join this new system. Patna Municipal Corporation will be the first in the state which is going to implement this system. The Municipal Corporation has given in-principle consent to implement the new system.
Soon there will be an agreement with the agency of Hyderabad. By doing this, the Municipal Corporation will get information about its actual cleaning workers. Last month, the Municipal Corporation had conducted an investigation regarding the cleaning workers. In this, 1100 employees were found whose attendance was maintained and monthly salary was also received but there was no information about it. Now such personnel will be controlled.
