Police Headquarters gave information, advertisement will come next year
Latest Updated 30/09/2023: The process of reinstatement on the posts of 21391 constables and 1288 inspectors in the state is in the final stage. With this, preparations have started for the reinstatement of policemen on 24 thousand 269 posts in the next year i.e. 2024. Police Headquarters has sought its approval from the Home Department. After getting the approval of the Finance Department after the Home, after preparing the roster, the restoration process on 24269 posts will start.
- 28 hundred constable drivers and two thousand sub-inspector posts are also included in these.
Out of total 24269 posts, there will be 19469 constable and equivalent posts, 2800 constable driver and 2000 sub-inspector and equivalent posts. ADG (Headquarters) Jitendra Singh Gangwar gave this information on Friday. Talking to journalists at the police headquarters, he told that in view of the increasing population of the state and the need for dial 112, the Home Department had created 75543 posts for Bihar Police this year. Of these, consent has been sought from the Home Department for restoration of 24269 posts out of 49447 for population-based direct appointment.
1275 inspector recruitment vacancies will come soon
ADG said that against the total created posts of 75543 posts, advertisement for 21391 constables has been issued so far. Its written examination is proposed on October 1, October 7 and October 15. After the results of the written examination are declared by November, the target is to conduct physical efficiency test in November-December and give appointment letters by January 26, 2024. Similarly, a recommendation has been sent to the Police Under Service Commission regarding the reinstatement of 1275 Inspectors. Advertisement may be released in October.
Written examination for 21391 constable reinstatement from tomorrow
The written examination for recruitment of constables on 21 thousand 391 posts in the state is starting from Sunday. Around 6 lakh applicants are likely to appear in this examination to be conduct in two shifts on the first day.
Exam will be held in 2 shifts, first from 10 am
Regarding the examination, 529 examination centers have been made in all 37 districts of Bihar except Gaya. The Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment) has directed the District Magistrates to install jammers at all the centers and ensure biometric attendance. The first shift examination will be held from 10 to 12 am, candidates will have to reach the examination center two hours before by 8 am. The 2nd shift examination will be conduct from 3 to 5 pm. The exam will be taken on the OMR sheet. This exam will also be held on 7 October and 15 October.
