Latest Updated 25/08/2023: If the attendance of students in schools is less than 50 percent, then the salary of the Block Education Officer (BEO) will be suspended and a show cause notice will be sent. This will be applicable to all levels of primary, middle, secondary and higher secondary schools. In this regard, the Patna District Education Office has given information by writing a letter to all BEOs, School Under Inspectors, Principals, Principals in-charge on Wednesday. Please inform that there are a total of 3345 schools in Patna district. In about 50 percent of these schools, the attendance of students is less than 30. Especially in schools from ninth to 12th, not even ten percent attendance is being achieved.
In such a situation, Patna District Education Officer has made this rule to increase attendance in schools. If the attendance does not increase, action will be taken against the principal.
Format sent to schools
A format for August has been sent to the schools. In this, the name of the principal and the school, attendance of the students in August is to be sent at the end of the month. This will be applicable every month now.

Attendance in schools is still not good. The attendance of children in every school has to be more than 50 percent. Action will be taken on the BEO of the block where it will not happen.
