Breaking News: Preparation to increase the honorarium of Shikshamitras of 2500 rupees by UP Govt
Latest Updated 01/08/2023: The state government is considering increasing the honorarium of Shiksha Mitras from Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,500. There has been a consensus on this at the highest level. Sources say that provision is being made for this in the supplementary budget. At present, 1.48 lakh Shiksha Mitras are teaching in council schools in the state.

Shiksha Mitra has been demanding increase in honorarium for years. His honorarium was increased from Rs 3500 to Rs 10 thousand in August 2017. They never even get this honorarium on time. The honorarium for the month of June was issued by the government only on June 6, which has not yet reached their accounts. Some Shiksha Mitras had taken these problems to the Chief Minister's Janata Darshan. Anil Yadav, president of Uttar Pradesh BTC Teachers Association, says that the honorarium of Shiksha Mitras should be at least 30 thousand.
