Home guard imprisoned for five years for cheating in the name of job in Jharkhand latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 20/08/2023: Court on Saturday convicted Home Guard Jawan Dharmendra Kumar Singh and sentenced him to five years of rigorous imprisonment in the case of duping lakhs of rupees from people in the name of restoration to the post of constable in Home Guard. The court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Sanjay Kumar Singh, while awarding different punishments to the home guard jawan under various sections of cheating, also imposed a total monetary fine of Rs 34,000.
On February 28, 2020, Rajendra Ravidas, a laborer resident of Putki Gopinathdih, lodged an FIR against Dharmendra at Dhanbad police station. In the registered FIR, Rajendra Ravidas had alleged that in the year 2018, his son Pradeep Kumar Das had applied for home guard reinstatement. He passed the physical examination. One day at 12 o'clock on his mobile, Dharmendra Kumar Singh said that he is the staff of Home Guard Office. Pradeep Kumar Das is trailing by one point, if he spends then the restoration will happen. Dharmendra called him at the gate of the Home Guard office.
When he reached the gate of the Home Guard office, he saw Dharmendra in uniform and demanded Rs 5 lakh for his reinstatement. In the end the matter was fixed at three lakh rupees and he gave the money to Dharmendra in several installments but his son did not get a job. Then they reached the Home Guard office in search of Dharmendra. Victims of fraud and people were found there.
