From the year-2031, education in excellent schools of Jharkhand will be completely through English medium latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 19/08/2023: It will take seven to eight years for CBSE affiliated government schools of excellence to become fully English schools. In the session 2031-32, the respective excellence schools will become completely English schools. In the current academic session 23-24, 80 excellent schools of the state including three in Dhanbad have got CBSE affiliation. In the current academic session, English medium is being taught only for the students of Class I. Other classes will be taught through hybrid model and Hindi medium.
Every year in a phased manner, classes one and two will be shifted from Hindi to English medium. Gradually, by session 31-32, studies from first to 12th standard will start completely in English. Jharkhand Education Project Council has released year-wise academic calendar for 80 excellent schools of the state. Three excellent schools of Dhanbad include Plus Two District School, Plus Two SSLNT Balika Vidyalaya and Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School Nirsa. The State Project Office says that 80 excellent schools in the state are being run on the CBSE pattern. For the purpose of easily implementing the teaching and learning in these schools according to the CBSE pattern, year-wise English, hybrid and Hindi medium will be there.
What is Hybrid Model Hybrid model means Hindi and English mix medium is called. Science, Mathematics and English subjects will be taught through English medium under hybrid medium. English medium text books have been made available for this. The remaining subjects will be taught through Hindi medium, which will be shifted to English medium year wise/class wise in the coming years.
