Challenging CLAT Score for Admission in Law Course in Delhi latest news update 2023

Latest Updated 16/08/2023: A PIL has been filed in the Delhi High Court, challenging Delhi University's decision to consider Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2023 scores for admission to five-year integrated law courses that have been introduced.


The petition has come up for hearing before a division bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Sanjeev Narula. Advocate Mohinder S Rupal appeared for DU and said that he needed to add some facts more to reply to the plea. Therefore, the bench adjourned the matter till 17 August.

Demand to implement CUET for admission


A PIL filed by Prince Singh, a law student studying in DU's law faculty, has demanded that the university should apply CUET score for admission. It was argued that the UGC has mandated that all Central Universities shall carry out the undergraduate admission procedures as per CUET.
